Your wallet(s) DO say something about your credibility — but until now, Ethos ignored this as part of the score. EIP-11, "Wallet Quality Score," changes that.
What is Wallet Quality Score?
EIP-11 factors the quality of your connected wallets into your Ethos credibility score. Real on-chain history is hard to fake — and now it counts.
The Proposal
As proposed on October 14th and put to a community vote:
• High quality wallets - Earn up to +45 credibility
• Low quality wallets - Lose up to -25 credibility
As Shipped
After community voting, EIP-11 went live with even stronger incentives:
• Up to +75 credibility - For quality wallets connected to your profile
• Up to -15 credibility - For low quality wallets
• Best wallet counts - Ethos takes your best connected wallet, and multiple wallets are now supported
One note of caution from the team: remember that connecting wallets doxxes them to your profile.
Why This Matters
Sybil attacks remain one of the biggest challenges in web3. Fresh wallets with no history are cheap; a long, legitimate on-chain track record is not.
• Detect sybils - Wallets that look like farms or bots drag scores down
• Reward veterans - Long-term participants get recognition for their history
• Improve accuracy - Another hard-to-game signal feeds the credibility calculation
Building Trust On-Chain
EIP-11 went through the full community EIP process — proposed, voted, and shipped. Your on-chain actions now speak as loudly as your reviews.
