Ethos Foundation redeems WHUF price guarantee for 54 more participants

On November 3, 2026, the Ethos Foundation completed another batch of redemptions under the WHUF sale price guarantee, this time covering 54 participants. It paid out $619.5k and burned 171.9k WHUF.

For anyone who bought WHUF in the sale, this is the Foundation continuing to meet its guarantee obligations. Every token it buys back is burned, so circulating supply keeps shrinking with each batch.

The latest batch

  • Participants covered: 54
  • Paid out: $619.5k
  • WHUF burned: 171.9k

Running totals

Across all batches so far:

  • WHUF burned: 619k, reducing circulating supply by about 29%
  • Total redeemed: $2,225,227

The previous batch covered 46 participants. In that round the Foundation paid out $407.8k and burned 113.2k WHUF, bringing the burn total to 447k WHUF, about 21% of circulating supply, and total redemptions to $1,605,758.

What the redemptions dashboard shows

The Foundation tracks progress at redemptions.ethos-foundation.org. Auction buyers who kept their WHUF vouched can sell it back to the Foundation at $3.57 per token until October 8, 2027. As of November 3, 2026, that left 338 days in the window.

The dashboard showed 398 requests received since the window opened, broken down by status:

  • Completed: 313, where tokens were returned and USDC paid
  • Awaiting payout: 2, where tokens were returned to the Foundation and USDC is due in the next batch
  • In progress: 32, which are being checked, completing verification or sending tokens
  • Invalid: 51, where tokens were never vouched, or were unvouched or sold, so nothing was covered

On the token side, it listed:

  • WHUF requested: 953,428 across in-progress and completed requests
  • Awaiting buy-back: 4,836, returned to the Foundation with USDC payment and burn to follow
  • WHUF burned: 619,359
  • USDC paid: $2,225,227, at $3.57 per WHUF

According to the dashboard, its figures come from the Foundation’s redemption queue and the WHUF contract on Base, and update every few minutes. Amounts are rounded to whole WHUF and whole dollars, and nothing on the page identifies a requester.
