ConsumerFi integrates Ethos reputation into its social graph

On July 22, 2025, @ConsumerFi announced it was integrating Ethos into its social graph. The goal, in ConsumerFi’s words, was “to capture your onchain reputation and credibility, increasing your personal Compute Credit score.” Ethos shared the announcement the same day under the line “ethos everywhere.”

For Ethos users, this meant the reputation they had built on Ethos counted for something on another platform. A credibility score earned from reviews and vouches became one of the inputs ConsumerFi used to evaluate its own users.

How ConsumerFi scores its users

According to ConsumerFi, its score is based on a person’s capital value, which it breaks into four parts:

  • Social
  • Reputation
  • Financial
  • Creative

Ethos fits into the reputation side. Ethos is an onchain reputation network where people review and vouch for each other, and every account gets a credibility score from what others say about it. By bringing that score into its social graph, ConsumerFi drew on a signal that comes from other people rather than from a user’s own claims.

What Ethos users got from the integration

ConsumerFi listed three benefits for Ethos users:

  • Compute Credit rewards: higher Ethos scores, at 1600 and above, granted more daily Compute Credits. ConsumerFi said users could increase their score daily for bonus rewards.
  • Ethos badge: Ethos users earned a badge immediately upon signing up for ConsumerFi.
  • Ethos review quest: users who completed a review of ConsumerFi on Ethos received 150 bonus credits, which ConsumerFi described as a way to “help the community grow.”

Why it matters

The integration shows Ethos scores being used outside Ethos itself. A credibility score is more useful when other products can read it and act on it, and ConsumerFi tied its Compute Credit system directly to that score, with a clear threshold at 1600.

The review quest also worked in the other direction. By asking users to review ConsumerFi on Ethos, the integration added to ConsumerFi’s own record on the network, where other people could see what users said about it.

Ethos summed up the partnership in two lines: “ethos everywhere” and “consumerfi 🤝 ethos.”
