On October 19, Ethos introduced Ethos Curators v2, its answer to a common marketing problem: how to reward people for creating original content about a product on X without paying for botted views and questionable content creators. On October 22, Ethos launched the Curator Beta program, which lets people earn WHUF for talking about Ethos.
If you run marketing for a product, or make content about the products you use, this comes down to one question: does the money spent on content reach real people doing real work?
Content dominates marketing spend
As Ethos put it, content is the name of the game for marketing in 2026. Original content, or OC, is what dominates marketing spend, and it shows up everywhere:
- Rainbet appearing in random street interview videos
- Local sports podcasters sharing DraftKings daily picks
All that spending raises an obvious question: how do you know you’re getting what you paid for?
Why paying for views falls short
Rewarding creators for reach invites abuse. Views can be botted, and not every creator who takes a deal is someone a brand wants attached to its name. Ethos’s view is that incentivizing unique content on X is hard to do well without two things:
- Human verification, so you know a real person is behind the account
- A credibility system, so you know whether that person is trusted
On Ethos, people review and vouch for each other, and every account gets a credibility score from what others say about it. Curators v2 is Ethos’s approach to bringing that kind of signal to content incentives.
Curator Beta launches with Karma Season 1
On October 22, Ethos launched two ways to earn WHUF:
- Karma Season 1, for being a contributor to Ethos
- The Curator Beta program, for talking about Ethos
The two cover different kinds of participation. Karma Season 1 recognizes contributions made on Ethos itself, while the Curator Beta focuses on content people create about Ethos on X.
The same day, @serpinxbt hosted a live broadcast on how to earn WHUF by contributing to Ethos, where Ethos invited people to come learn about both programs.
