Ethos 1.0 launched on August 18, 2026. The announcement on X was short and aimed at one group in particular: XP holders, who Ethos told it was “your time to shine.”
About an hour later, Ethos posted a follow-up. It walked back one part of the announcement and pointed to a website for the Ethos Foundation. If you hold XP, read the two posts together.
The announcement
The first post opened by acknowledging the wait: “You’ve been waiting patiently, and Ethos 1.0 is finally here.” It went on: “Get ready XP holders, it’s your time to shine.”
The post didn’t spell out what Ethos 1.0 means for XP holders. It did make two things clear: XP holders are the focus of this release, and the launch is the moment they’ve been waiting for.
The follow-up: no sticker packs
In a follow-up, Ethos posted: “sorry, the sticker packs were not real.”
It added: “you’ll probably like this better anyways,” with a link to ethos-foundation.org.
So the sticker packs aren’t part of the launch. Ethos pointed people to the Ethos Foundation site instead, and said XP holders would probably like it better.
What XP holders should know
- Ethos 1.0 launched on August 18, 2026, after what Ethos acknowledged was a long wait.
- The launch was addressed to XP holders directly, with Ethos saying it’s “your time to shine.”
- The sticker packs were not real, according to Ethos’s follow-up post.
- Ethos pointed people to ethos-foundation.org, saying they would probably like it better.
The posts don’t say more than that about what 1.0 includes. The Ethos Foundation site is where Ethos sent readers next.
