Ethos broker: from new placements to a request for reviews

On October 9, 2025, Ethos said it had started adding broker to several places across the network: the home page, profiles and, through the Ethos Chrome extension, X itself. On January 7, 2026, broker carried a concrete example of how it could be used. @serpinxbt posted a request for reviews of @intodotspace, open only to users with Ethos scores over 1600.

Together, the two posts show broker moving from a new feature appearing around Ethos to a place where someone could ask the network for its opinion, with $5 on offer for it.

Broker everywhere

Ethos announced the rollout with a short line: “ethos (broker) everywhere.” The post listed where broker had started to appear:

  • The Ethos home page
  • Profiles
  • X, through the Ethos Chrome extension

The post closed by asking, “do u see the vision now, anon?” It didn’t spell the vision out. The list of placements does show broker appearing in the places where people already look at Ethos, including on X, rather than staying in one corner of the app.

A request for reviews on @intodotspace

On January 7, 2026, Ethos highlighted a broker post from @serpinxbt and summed it up with a question: “$5 for your opinion?” @serpinxbt was asking for reviews of @intodotspace, and only from users with an Ethos score over 1600.

The link to the post described it as a request for reviews and DD (due diligence) on @intodotspace. Ethos pointed readers to the broker post for the full details.

Why the score threshold matters

The request was open only to accounts above a set Ethos score. A cutoff of 1600 aimed the request at accounts the network already rated as credible, rather than at anyone willing to write a few lines for $5.

For someone researching a project, that filter is the useful part. The opinions come from accounts with a track record on Ethos, so the reviews carry the weight of that history.

The posts don’t record how many reviews the request drew or how it concluded.
