Ethos Meow Meow NFTs airdropped and now transferable

On August 13, Ethos airdropped Ethos Meow Meow NFTs to everyone who selected the NFT option at the beginning of Season 2. Each NFT was created for its holder, based on what people have said about them on Ethos.

Later that day, the NFTs became transferable. On August 14, Ethos returned delegated XP to wallets. If you made a choice between NFT and XP at the start of Season 2, here’s what happened and how to check which option you picked.

What the Meow Meows are

Every Ethos Meow Meow was dynamically generated for a specific person. Instead of drawing from a fixed set of traits, each one reflects the things people have said about that person on Ethos.

Ethos’s stated goal was to create something people can use as a PFP to show their alignment with Ethos. The result is a profile picture shaped by how others describe you on the network.

How each one was made

Ethos used OpenAI’s gpt-image generation to create each meow meow in the collection. The image generation included each user’s Ethos profile summary, which is how every NFT ended up with its own unique attributes.

Ethos gave a couple of examples of what that looks like in practice:

  • Known for DeFi? That will show up in the NFT.
  • Best farmer this side of the west? That will show up too.

Now transferable

Later on August 13, Ethos made the NFTs transferable. The collection is listed on OpenSea:

Delegated XP returned

On August 14, Ethos announced that delegated XP has been returned to your wallet.

Check which option you chose
