On May 15, 2025, Ethos distributed 2,080 invites to active members of the network. One week later, on May 22, 2025, it paused its weekly invite distributions indefinitely to deal with problems that had surfaced as the network grew quickly.

This describes how Ethos worked at the time. Back then, new members needed an invite to join, and active accounts were rewarded with invites on a weekly basis. Ethos has changed since: invites are no longer needed, XP has become Karma, and the XP seasons have ended.

2,080 invites go to active members

On May 15, 2025, Ethos announced that it had added invites to the accounts of active members. Each account that was rewarded received anywhere from 1 to 10 invites.
