On August 26, 2025, @0xAsta opened a slash against @Humanityprot (Humanity) on Ethos. It was the second time Humanity had been slashed on the network. About two months earlier, a previous slash against the project passed with 98% consensus.
The case centered on rewards promised to “yappers,” the people who post about a project on X, and on where that money ended up. For anyone weighing whether to promote a project in exchange for rewards, the dispute shows how a promise can shrink before it is paid.
Who was involved
Ethos listed the two accounts with different standings:
- @Humanityprot: marked as questionable
- @0xAsta: marked as established
On Ethos, people review and vouch for each other, and every account gets a credibility score from what others say about it. A slash puts a specific accusation in front of the community.
The accusation
@0xAsta summed up the case in one line:
“Promised $2.2M for yappers, then $100K, proceeded to send themselves $60k”
According to @0xAsta, the commitment to yappers dropped in two steps:
- $2.2M: the original amount promised for yappers
- $100K: the reduced amount for post-TGE yapper rewards
- $60K: the portion of that $100K that @0xAsta said went to a team wallet
In more detail, @0xAsta wrote on August 26, 2025:
“Today, they sent out post-TGE yapper rewards which were supposed to be $100k, but they actually sent $60k of it directly to a team wallet with already a history of $H claims and more”
The claim, in other words, was that most of the reduced rewards pool meant for people posting about Humanity after its token generation event (TGE) went to a wallet linked to the team, one that had already claimed $H before.
Supporting posts
Ethos pointed to two posts as references for the slash:
A repeat case
What made this slash stand out was the history behind it. Humanity had already been slashed roughly two months before, with 98% of voters agreeing. A second slash from an established account added to a record that was already visible on the project’s Ethos profile.
The Ethos posts do not record how the second slash vote ended.
