Mimix, the creator marketing platform formerly known as Tunnl, now shows Ethos scores on every creator profile and lets brands require a minimum score for each campaign. The integration took less than a week to ship and cost nothing to build.

For any brand hiring crypto KOLs, that changes the question from how many followers a creator has to what the people around them actually say about them.

The problem with KOL marketing

Brands hiring crypto KOLs face a credibility problem. Follower counts are gamed and engagement metrics are inflated. Without reputation infrastructure, brands have no reliable way to tell who is legitimate and who is a liability.

The case study puts two figures next to that problem:

  • $740M in pump and dump losses in 2025
  • 160+ undisclosed KOLs

When reach can be bought and engagement can be faked, those metrics say little about whether a creator is someone a brand should put its name next to.

What Mimix built

Ethos covered Tunnl’s first announcement of Ethos score support earlier. Since then, the platform has rebranded as Mimix, and the case study adds detail on how the integration works and how far the platform has grown.

Mimix integrated Ethos scores into two parts of its product:

  • Creator profiles: every creator’s Ethos score is displayed alongside their performance metrics
  • Campaign gating: brands can set a minimum Ethos score for each campaign, and Mimix enforces it automatically

Morgan Kuphal, CTO of Mimix (formerly Tunnl), announced the support when it went live:

“I’m happy to report we now officially support Ethos scores on Tunnl. Brands can now use Ethos score as an optional gating requirement for creator participation in Tunnl campaigns.”

The gate is optional. Brands that want it can switch it on for a campaign; those that don’t can run campaigns as before.

The integration at a glance

  • Platform: mimix.xyz
  • Value settled: $650K+
  • Time to ship: about a week
  • Integration cost: free
  • Campaign gating: live
  • Partners using Mimix: Base, Doodles, LimeWire and Somnia

What it means for creators

Creators who want access to the best brand campaigns on Mimix now need to maintain strong Ethos scores. That means building real standing in their community, not farming followers.

An Ethos score comes from what other people say about an account through reviews and vouches. A creator can inflate a follower count, but a score built on others’ reviews is harder to fake, and it carries a record of how that creator has treated the people around them.

How brands could use it

The case study lists four ways a brand or marketer could put Ethos scores to work:

  • Hiring creators: check their Ethos score before signing
  • Running a campaign: gate participation by credibility, not just reach
  • Evaluating agencies: the KOLs an agency recommends should have verifiable reputations
  • Protecting your brand: Ethos flags known bad actors before a brand accidentally associates with them

Why the build time matters

Mimix shipped the integration in about a week, at no cost. Ethos offers its score through a free API that doesn’t require a key, which keeps the barrier low for other platforms that want to vet the people using them.

For Mimix, the result is a campaign marketplace where brands can see a creator’s reputation next to their reach, and decide for themselves how much each one should count.
