Rickbot added Ethos scores to Telegram for faster due diligence

On October 27, 2025, Ethos announced that Rickbot showed Ethos scores in Telegram. Alongside the score, Rickbot included a quick link to the person’s Ethos profile, so anyone who wanted more context could read further.

The update was aimed at a familiar problem: separating signal from noise when things move fast. Ethos described it as a tool for “the heat of trenches,” the crypto slang for fast-paced trading where decisions often happen in minutes and there’s little time to look into who you’re dealing with.

What changed

Ethos’s announcement covered two things:

  • Ethos scores in Telegram: Rickbot displayed a person’s Ethos score directly in TG.
  • A quick link to the profile: Rickbot linked to the person’s Ethos profile, so readers could see more than the number.

Ethos framed the result as “faster DD,” or due diligence. Instead of leaving the chat to search for someone, a reader could see a credibility signal where the conversation was already happening.

Why an Ethos score helps

Ethos is an onchain reputation network. People review and vouch for each other, and every account gets a credibility score based on what others say about it. That score is a summary of how other people have rated their experience with an account.

In a busy Telegram chat, the names and claims can blur together. A score gives a quick first read on whether an account has a track record others have vouched for, or whether it has drawn concerns. It doesn’t replace judgment, but it gives readers something to go on when they don’t have time to dig.

The score and the profile together

A number on its own only says so much. The link to the full Ethos profile is what let readers go deeper, to “read more,” in Ethos’s words. That pairing matched how due diligence tends to work in fast-moving settings: a quick check first, then more detail when something looks worth a closer look.

For people trading in the trenches, the October 27, 2025 update put both steps within reach in Telegram itself.
